Thursday or Friday: arrive

Land early. LAX traffic can take an hour or more to Beverly Hills on a Friday afternoon, so leave plenty of time before candle lighting. Pick up Shabbat food on Pico Boulevard or La Brea on the way in.

Friday: get ready

Check in, sort out your room key, check the eruv, and walk the route to the shul once in daylight. Mincha is 25 minutes before sunset.

Shacharit 7:30am or the JFK Minyan at 9:30am, then Kiddush with the kehilla. Ask the Rabbi shiur before Mincha, then Seudat Shelishit and Arbit.

Motzei Shabbat and Sunday

The Getty Center, Griffith Observatory, LACMA, the Museum of Tolerance and the Santa Monica Pier. Kosher meals on Pico Boulevard, close to the Museum of Tolerance.

Is there a dress code?

Come dressed for shul. Kippot are available.

Is the shul close to Cedars-Sinai?

What is the JFK Minyan?

A Shabbat morning minyan for young professionals at 9:30am, followed by Kiddush. Everyone is welcome.
