Getting here
Where is Bait Aaron?
301 S. La Peer Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90048, on the corner of 3rd Street and La Peer Drive, near Cedars-Sinai.
Which door do I use?
Enter from the driveway on 3rd Street. The front door on La Peer is usually closed.
How do I walk from Cedars-Sinai on Shabbat?
From the South Tower lobby (8700 Gracie Allen Dr.) it is about 0.5 mi, about 11 minutes. From the Medical Office Towers on 3rd St it is about 0.37 mi, about 8 minutes. See the full steps on the Getting here page.
Which Cedars-Sinai entrance is the main one?
Cedars-Sinai says all patients and visitors check in at the South Tower (8700 Gracie Allen Drive) Street Lobby.
How far is the Four Seasons (300 S. Doheny Dr.)?
About 0.2 mi, about 4 minutes, along the south side of 3rd Street. See Getting here for steps.
How far is the SLS Hotel?
About 0.8 mi, about 17 minutes: north on La Cienega and San Vicente to 3rd Street, then west on the south side of 3rd Street. See Getting here.

Is there lodging for a Cedars patient’s family within walking distance on Shabbat?
Ateres Avigail has an apartment about a five-minute walk from Cedars-Sinai for family members of patients. Phone 323-937-8300. Please call before Shabbat to confirm. Cedars can also arrange a guest cot in the patient room (Hospitality, 310-423-4444).

When is weekday Shacharit?
7:00am, and 6:45am on Rosh Chodesh.
When is weekday Mincha / Arvit?
25 minutes before sunset. The time changes every day. Call or text 310-951-1939.
Is there a late Arvit?
Yes. Arvit every night at 10:00pm.
When is Friday night Mincha?
25 minutes before sunset.
When are the Shabbat morning minyanim?
Shacharit at 7:30am. The young professionals minyan at 9:30am, followed by Kiddush.
When is Shabbat Mincha?
1 hour before sunset, followed by Seudat Shelishit and Arvit. Before Mincha there is Ask the Rabbi / a shiur (1 hour before Mincha).

Learning
Is there a morning Kollel?
Yes. Learning at 7:45am and 8:45am.
Is there a night Kollel?
Yes. 8:30pm to 10:00pm, followed by Arvit.
Shabbat
Is Bait Aaron inside the eruv?
The LA Community Eruv describes a boundary that includes Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. On the map, Bait Aaron and the nearby hotels fall inside that area. The eruv can be down any week. Check before every Shabbat: (877) 378-8463 or x.com/LAEruv_status. Ask the Rav about carrying. This is not a ruling.
Does Cedars-Sinai have a Shabbat elevator?
Cedars-Sinai lists Elevator 13 in the main building and Elevator 38 in the Saperstein building as stopping at every floor on Shabbat and Yom Tov.
Can I get Shabbat candles at Cedars-Sinai?
Electric Shabbat candles: arrange before Shabbat at 310-423-5550 (after hours 310-423-5180).
How do I leave Cedars-Sinai after Shabbat?
After Shabbat, Ateres Avigail says the Social Worker can give a complimentary taxi voucher (after hours, the Nursing Office). Parking validation cards for after Shabbat are at the back of the Chapel on the Plaza Level, in a drawer box labeled "shomer Shabbat". Please call to confirm.

Can I come to a shiur?
Yes. There is Morning Kollel at 7:45am and 8:45am, Night Kollel from 8:30pm to 10:00pm, and Ask the Rabbi / a shiur with HaRav Moshe Nourollah, Shlita, one hour before Shabbat Mincha.
What is the 9:30 young professionals minyan?

Can I put on tefillin or learn one-on-one?

Can I join a Shabbat meal?
After the 9:30 minyan there is Kiddush. On Shabbat afternoon, Seudat Shelishit follows Mincha. For a home meal, text 310-951-1939 before Shabbat and ask. We will try to help.
